Learn to Skate Classes

Basic Skills Class 5:15 pm - 6:00 pm

Basic Skills teaches the fundamentals of ice skating and provides the best foundation for figure skating, hockey, and speedskating. Six progressive levels introduce forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers and turns. Upon completion of the Basic Skills 1-6 levels, skaters will be able to confidently advance to more specialized areas of skating.

Basic Skills Adult Class 5:15 pm - 6:00 pm

Adults only! Trust us, you’ll be warmer out on the ice than watching from the stands. We occasionally have to steal your coach to cover another class, but this is reflected in the reduced price. Even if that happens, there are some experienced adult skaters in your class who can lead a practice session.

Advanced Skills Class 4:30 pm - 5:15 pm

The advanced class is for skaters who have graduated from Basic Skills and are interested in pursuing figure skating. Every class will have a short structured session focused on power skating skills and unstructured practice time with access to a coach. Skaters can ask the coach questions about new skating skills or request feedback on skills they are practicing.
